Thanks Erick! Joe, this has already been discussed and decided (read the list archives). Ranting and flaming sendmail (and therefore me) isn't going to accomplish anything at this point. I'm sorry that you are allergic to the word sendmail. I have no plans to change the name of the startup script (it is written to be sendmail specific) or the fact that it gets installed regardless of NO_SENDMAIL. This change was intentional -- I am not going to be responsible from breaking everyone's configuration. As I've already told you in private mail, people use sendmail_enable to start non-sendmail MTAs which provide sendmail binary replacements. I'm not going to get involved with another round of arguing this so don't expect a lot of responsiveness from me on this issue.
