Go to www.freebsd.org and see if you can find a link to a few packages that
allow you to use the ports from STABLE.  I believe they are called upgrade
kits.  After doing that you should be able to grab the latest distfiles and
install as usual.  One word of advice, once the upgrade kit has been
installed it is on there for good and cannot be removed by pkg_delete(at
least if was this way on my 3.2 RELEASE system).
