The same doesn't happen with 11,12,13 and so on networks. But, when i try to configure an ip address like "ifconfig em1 10.0.56.141 netmask 255.0.0.0" works fine and the link(em1 here) is up with the address. Note: This is only applicable or seen when configuring interfaces thru' the management port and not thru' the console. >How-To-Repeat: Just issue the command "ifconfig <if_name> 10.1.1.1 netmask 255.0.0.0".
