4.3-RELEASE seems even worse. If the second parallel port is installed (3BC),
none of lpt0, lpt1, and ppi0 will be configured. That is, entire parallel system

is disabled if a second parallel port (ISA board) is installed.
I do not have a PIC parallel board to test, so I don't know if PCI parallel
works.
