No output at all.

Maybe I should add: In effect, the recording device remains with the 
internal sound card. Thus I can still "record" something (e.g. use 
Skype) - but I have to plug the microphone to my laptop microphone input 
directly, while the headphone is plugged into the USB soundcard.
