I just now tried out the new (Oct. 6) atapi.flp boot disk, and while it
doesn't lock up the machine anymore, it completely fails to recognize my
Mitsumi IDE CD-ROM (although it does correctly probe the second IDE
controller that it is on). I haven't sup'ped or looked at the latest
FreeBSD-stable source tree, so I'm not sure exactly how you're building
this boot disk, although the last time I checked, the ATAPI source had
not been entirely integrated into -stable, especially the "#ifdef ATAPI"
sections in wd.c. If this is the case, it could explain why my CD-ROM
isn't being recognized.
Anyone else with an IDE CD-ROM tested out the new atapi.flp yet?
