The following reply was made to PR bin/115033; it has been noted by GNATS. From: "Remko Lodder" <remko@elvandar.org> To: "Jonathan DERQUE" <jonathan.derque@netasq.com> Cc: freebsd-gnats-submit@freebsd.org, kientzle@freebsd.org Subject: Re: bin/115033: tar crash when specifying bad exclude pattern Date: Mon, 30 Jul 2007 12:57:51 +0200 (CEST) >>Description: > tar crashes when omitting '=' with -W exclude >>How-To-Repeat: > tar cvzf foo.tar.gz -W exclude foo >>Fix: Hello, It would have been great if you could have just reported this on the mailinglists first to discuss this and all before submitting a new PR ticket. This doesn't contain enough information imo to make sure that we can do something with this. Tim; I copied you in since you are the maintainer of BSDtar as far as I know; I have a bsdtar.core file available for you if you want to have that give me a yell. I didn't have my system compiled in with DEBUG options etc so I am not sure whether there is relevant data in it.
