    The machine in the other room is a 486 VLB/ISA machine with an
Adaptec 1542C and an Accton NE2000 Ethernet card.  Once I configured
the network card with the correct address and IRQ, I had no problems
booting with any of the floppies since the January 1995 snapshot.

    When exactly does the system reboot?  Try to give us as much
detail as possible.
