I have been having some mysterious crashes on -current the last week or so. I have noticed them on a couple of different machines. I have also seen some e-mails about kernel panics with portupgrade and got to thinking that all of the panics that I could remember happened while I was running portupgrade. I have put the machines under heavy load while not running portupgrade and have not experienced a problem. Does any one know if portupgrade has a problem or is it something in -current that it is interacting with? I do not think it is disk load because I put one of the machines under a heavier disk I/O load with NFS reads/writes than what portupgrade would do by installing a port. Thanks. -- Glenn Johnson USDA, ARS, SRRC Phone: (504) 286-4252 New Orleans, LA 70124 e-mail: gjohnson@srrc.ars.usda.gov
