Gigabit under $200 is a reality.  Got to CDW and you'll find a 3Com
10/100/1000T card for $180.  The really scary thing is the Addtron card
for $120.  That's actually a short card so it probably won't have great
perfomance, but that's approaching a pricepoint where it could become
a manditory feature checkbox on business systems especialy when you
consider that 3Com 10/100 nics regularly run around $60.  Of course the
cheapest switch is still $860 for a 4 port...
