I need to generate nightly log files for each user on a box, and place each log in a directory in the users home dir. I am wondering about security with this, as the program needs (?) to be run as root. If a user where to place a symlink in that directory, when root went to write to it, well, you get my point.. Is there a clean way to put these logs in their directories as (suid) owner of the dir..
