following the installation of kde11 I get the following error when trying to execute startx; Authentication failed - Cannot start X server. Perhaps you do not have console ownership? Any pointers would be helpful. I wonder if permission plays a part here. I noticed during the installation of kde11 the make install was chmod'ing alot of 444's - that seems awfully restrictive.
