I thought XFree86 3.3.1 has support for NVIDIA stuff. Maybe I'm wrong.. but I thought I heard that. I'm running XF 3.3.1, (I use the Virge server, but I have the standard SVGA one around) and a -showconfig yields an NV1 entry.
