I'm running 2.2.8-STABLE and have an SB 16 card. At boot time, it is reported as: CSN 1 Vendor ID: CTL00f0 [0xf0008c0e] Serial 0xffffffff pcm1 (SB16pnp <Vibra16X> sn 0xffffffff) at 0x240 irq 10 drq 1 flags 0x10 id 16 First off, the all-ones serial number worries me a bit. Now, when trying to use xanim to play something, I get a 3-5 seconds of audio, and then the audio stops. The video continues without a hitch. Here is what xanim prints: XAnim Rev 2.70.7.0 by Mark Podlipec (c) 1991-1998 Reading Quicktime File troops3.mov Video Codec: Radius Cinepak depth=24 Audio Codec: PCM Rate=22050 Chans=1 Bps=8 The kernel message I get is: timeout flushing dbuf_out, chan 1 cnt 0xff00 flags 0x00000241 I will try to do some more differential diagnosis to see if I get the same error with other programs, or with xanim and other kinds of movies. If anyone knows the solution to this, or has encountered similar problems, please let me know.
