About how quickly should gbde initialize a storage array (say for
example, a 700GB ATA-133 Raid 5 array managed by a 3Ware 7500
controller) on a SMP 2.0GHz Xeon box?

I assume the initialization time is bounded by the random library used
to generate the psudo-random whitener, but I wasn't sure what library is
used or how fast that library should run on a 2.0 Xeon.

Thanks.
