Just tried setting kern.maxusers=0 from the loader. The panic is now indeed gone. For reasons I do not understand I get 'unable to transfer the base dist from ftp://foo' all the time *while at the same time* the 41 parts of base get transfered without problems. Whatever, this is not something I can attribute to maxusers :) so I'd think going for maxusers=0 for autosizing is OK. -- | / o / /_ _ wilko@FreeBSD.org |/|/ / / /( (_) Bulte To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe cvs-all" in the body of the message
