Correct, the CVS repository for ports and docs is not required for making
a release. Given that you've got limited disk space, you should
probably keep using checkout mode ("tag=.") for the ports and docs.
There's no good reason for you to keep the repository around for
those things, unless you get a thrill out of reading old commit
logs. (And you can do that on the web anyway.) :-)
