Hi! The 4.7-disc1.iso on the FTP server seems to contain files that have the same name but different contents than if I download the sub files individually from the FTP server! 1. I downloaded the ISO image (4.7-disc1.iso) from ftp.freebsd.org (62.243.72.50), from /pub/FreeBSD/releases/i386/ISO-IMAGES/4.7. Inside the ISO, "info.aa"'s MD5 checksum is 11b65e24bafee38149d92dc8d7252e66. 2. But when I went to ftp.freebsd.org (62.243.72.50) again, and download "info.aa" from /pub/FreeBSD/releases/i386/4.7-RELEASE/info, its MD5 checksum is different: 62825b4516f3226168eb92f144e9f579 (I verified that my ISO download was not corrupted, because its MD5 6b205e3c2e72c90c2e0718da47b26540 matches the CHECKSUM.MD5 file on FTP server.) (I verified that my info.aa download was also not corruptted, because its MD5 matches the CHECKSUM.MD5 file in that directory.) [If it was only one file, I would not have inquired. But it appears to affect all compat*, info*, manpages*, etc.] It almost appears as if there are two different FreeBSD 4.7. Could someone enlighten me please?
