Does anyone know if the "ess alegro" in the compaq 1701 laptop is supported? I have tried the device pcm, pcm + sbc and can't even get an error message :-) cat /dev/sndstat shows no installed devices and pnpinfo responds with "No Plug-n-Play devices were found" I am also not able to get the compaq 100/10 nic to respond. It seems to want to be an SMC card but I'm not sure. I get the followind in my dmesg sn0: ioaddr is 0x300 sn0: test1 failed Does anyone have it working? All my pcmcia cards seem to work fine. I installed current and built a new world yesterday. ed ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn and relearn. --Alvin Toffler To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
