It is my understanding that a port to macppc already has an assigned
leader, or so I was told on EFNet/#freebsd.  The contact I was given was
Cameron Grant <cg@freebsd.org>.  The porting effort is just getting
underway.  Working on the G3's and other PCI Mac's would be a bit better
idea than leaping into the G4's right away.  Especially since I'm sure
'gcc's support for SIMD on PowerPC isn't exactly up to speed yet.

I'm quite interested in helping on this project, and will be doing driver
work on NetBSD/macppc in the meantime, in the hope that it will be
portable over to Free, later once things take off.
