It is my understanding that a port to macppc already has an assigned leader, or so I was told on EFNet/#freebsd. The contact I was given was Cameron Grant <cg@freebsd.org>. The porting effort is just getting underway. Working on the G3's and other PCI Mac's would be a bit better idea than leaping into the G4's right away. Especially since I'm sure 'gcc's support for SIMD on PowerPC isn't exactly up to speed yet. I'm quite interested in helping on this project, and will be doing driver work on NetBSD/macppc in the meantime, in the hope that it will be portable over to Free, later once things take off. - William Carrel <william.a@carrel.org> To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-platforms" in the body of the messagehelp
