Hi Pavel,

Are you using XFCE per chance? There is a bug where the screen stays 
black when exiting the screensaver, which would have been activated when 
you closed the lid.

A workaround is to turn off "Display fullscreen overlay windows 
directly" in Settings Manager -> Window Manager Tweaks -> Compositor (tab).
