I'm also not quite getting the situation when I have errors on a vdev 
level, but 0 errors on a lower device layer (could someone please 
explain this):

status: One or more devices has experienced an error resulting in data
         corruption.  Applications may be affected.
action: Restore the file in question if possible.  Otherwise restore the
         entire pool from backup.
