I agree, but it probably should be simplified in the downloads page, using the following categories, instead of using a README file: 1. LiveCD 2. DVD 3. USB http://fedoraproject.org/get-fedora might be a good start for what to write, as well as http://www.ubuntu.com/download (the Ubuntu site is incredibly user friendly -- I would choose that over the Fedora site).
