Indeed! Sounds like I'm not the only one out there! I've been at the BSD
thing for a year and a half or so, but I approached it from the
workstation/mutlimedia end, then went on to begin to learn about the
server side. I'm running a 4.6.2 gateway, 4.7r web/(mail?)server, and two
workstations, 4-stable and 5.0r. It's been nothing but rewarding, and I
kick myself for all the time I spent totally ignorant of BSD.

Reinstalls just seem to be the easiest, quickest way to restore a system
after a foobar when you're in the learning stage. It seems that as you
learn, reinstalling seems less necessary (unless you make sweeping
permissions changes without understanding what you're doing) to correct
most mistakes/problems.

Yeah, FreeBSD rocks! It has really inspired me to learn more and more by
putting a friendly face of sorts onto an intimidating set of tools. The
documentation for FreeBSD and its related issues is absolutely incredible,
and there are some brilliant folks supporting it. Thanks whole-heartedly
to all the FreeBSD contributors, maintainers, staff, and users!

Joshua
