There is VLAN support in FreeBSD but it is independent to the Netgraph framework as it was developed independently by other people. I have not looked at it closely. It would be noce if we could consolidate these things under the single framework. It would of course be possible to implement VLAN support using netgraph. There is also a 'backwards ethernet' netgraph node written by Vitaly V. Belekhov (CC'd)and available at www.riss-telecom.ru/~vitaly/ This node may be of some use to you.. The standard 'ethenet' node was recently re-written and will be checked in soon. check: ftp://ftp.whistle.com/pub/archie/misc/NGETHER.patch.2 the changed semantics may be of use to you also. These supercede changes at http://home.earthlink.net/~evmax/ng.tar.gz made by Maksim Yevmenkin <m_evmenkin@yahoo.com> In -current there is work to make bridging more suitable for inclusion into netgraph but it is not complete yet. Archie will have more info.. > > Tarik. > > -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Tarik Alj > > INRS-Telecommunications > Place Bonaventure > 900 De La Gauchetierre Ouest > Niveau C, Case Postale 644 > Montreal, Qc, H5A 1C6 > Canada > > 514 875-1266 #2036 (email preferred) -- __--_|\ Julian Elischer / \ julian@elischer.org ( OZ ) World tour 2000 )_.---._/ presently in: Budapest v To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-net" in the body of the message
