I only got 5 mins to play with the box, and didn't see an obvious way of doing this. I remember reading that there was a distinction between the "a" and "au" model, and that FreeBSD would only boot from the SRM, not AlphaBIOS. The crack I was smoking probably lead me to the conclusion that the "a" model didn't have an SRM. Sorry, I'm reproducing this stuff parrot-fashion at the moment.
