Hi, I am trying out an install of the 4.6.1-RC2 snapshot. It still has the CD-ROM problems with: acd0: READ_BIG command timeout - resetting ata1: resetting devices .. done is this not fixed -- or have the fixes gone on the 4.7 branch? Also, when sysinstall tries to begin installing components from the CD, the following warning appears, Warning: The disc currently in the drive is either not a FreeBSD disc or it is older (pre 2.1.5) FreeBSD CD which does not have a version number on it. Do you wish to use this disc anyway? I said yes and the install went ahead successfully... at boot time I had applied the hw.ata.* config changes to deal with my AOPEN CD-ROM. Anyway, what's the above warning about? -- Denis To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
