Not sure when this started, don't reboot that often ;) From dmesg rl0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 inet 192.168.0.13 netmask 0xffff0000 broadcast 192.168.255.255 inet6 fe80::248:54ff:fe82:b88b%rl0 prefixlen 64 tentative scopeid 0x1 ether 00:48:54:82:b8:8b media: Ethernet autoselect (none) status: no carrier This appears to be cosmetic as all network services come straight up. Appears on several (all?) M/C. %ifconfig rl0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 inet 192.168.0.13 netmask 0xffff0000 broadcast 192.168.255.255 inet6 fe80::248:54ff:fe82:b88b%rl0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x1 ether 00:48:54:82:b8:8b media: Ethernet autoselect (100baseTX <full-duplex>) status: active I'll try a fresh install as soon as it builds. -- ian j hart To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
