At www.freebsd.org, under documentation, there is an FAQ and a handbook. The handbook is the free 'bible' to freebsd. If you want to pay, get 'the complete freebsd'. Make sure you give those documents a reasonably thorough read before you ask questions (especially questions already answered in the FAQ). If you don't follow these instructions, you'll just get a lot of responses telling you to RTFM, or RTFFAQ. :-) After that, feel free to post questions to questions@freebsd.org, where other newbies and seasoned veterans alike, all volunteers, will try to help you as they are able and as they have the time (lots of them are busy on the 4.0 release).
