Hello freebsd-hardware,

I have VIA VT6421 PCI controller card installed in my PC (AMD Athlon XP 1500+,
Epox 8KHA+) with one SATA drive and one PATA drive attached.

BIOS and BTX detects both drives, but when I'm booting the kernel
during installation process, I can see only SATA drive installed (with
"bad" geometry instead), but no PATA drive.

How can I correct this situation?

P.S. FreeBSD 6.2 beta 3 has the same trouble.
