If it seems this is working out, I'll probably at some point make a 'mega-commit' that make everything correspond to this. Step-by-stepping as I did with the initial option conversion risk too much breakage and is 'impossible' to do proper tests for each step for. The main missing part for a full policy is how to handle DIAGNOSTIC and DEBUG. There seemed to be agreement on -hackers on this, but I feel it as too early to formalize that. Eivind.
