I placed the ktrace.out at ftp://george.lbl.gov/pub/tmp/ktrace.out

This time is :
	# diff ~jin/services /etc
because "# diff ~jin/src/unix/bsd44/etc/backup/services /etc" works somehow.

The real diff is:

It seems that the problem is only with root.
