on a RELENG_4 box supped yesterday, I did the following

	ifconfig fxp1 delete
	ifconfig fxp1 down

now if I do a netstat -rn there are still residual routes to fxp1

	host routes
	broadcast routes
	network routes

should this be the case?

after all if I'm going to the extreme of a ifconfig delete would it
not be safe to assume that any hosts that were learned by that
interface would no longer be reachable through that interface?

I'm not saying the behaviour is correct or incorrect, just not what
I expected.

When things can't get any worse, they simplify themselves by getting a
whole lot worse then complicated. A complete and utter disaster is the
simplest thing in the world; it's preventing one that's complex.
