The problem is all cards have the firmware, so you'd always have to load on
demand. Or are you suggesting just for isp systems? That's not a terrible idea
now that we have binary firmware loading in addition to the old.ko based
scheme. But I'd wager it is too late for the release, despite this regression.
We should note the workaround in the release notes and also task the loader
folks to export pci devices to lua so workarounds like this could be scripted
in the future.
