Upgrade 6.1 -> 6.2 results in undetected SATA Hi, I just upgraded from BSD 6.1 to 6.2, but unfortunatley my 2nd SATA drive does not get detected in the new kernel. When I go in the bootloader prompt and manually load the boot.old (6.1) it all works fine. I diffed the dmesg's and noticed that in 6.1 the ATA controller gets detected as 'GENERIC ATA controller' and in 6.2 as VIA ATA controller (which is correct (see mainboard specs) ). What could be the problem ? Is there a way to force the 6.2 kernel in using the GENERIC ATA controller driver (as a temp fix )? Any other ideas to solve it ? Here's my system setup: Intel core2 duo E6600 Asus P5VD2-MX,Sk775,PCIe motherboard 1x DVDR (Sata) 2x Maxtor Sata 160GB Thanks, Christophe --- Truly great madness cannot be achieved without significant intelligence. --- _____________________________________________________________ GameDev.net Email Service - "Plenty of 1's and 0's"
