Erm, why is there a modem discussion going on in -stable?  I thought
the hardware mailing list was the appropriate location for this
kinda stuff. :-(

Honestly folks, we're not going to ever have much of a signal-to-noise
ratio worth talking about if people just use any old mailing list which
comes to mind for a given topic. :-|
