I can't see why it wouldn't work. All uucp implementations, I believe, will accept the g protocol. The uucps negotiate the protocol between themselves. I'm not sure I understand what you want to do with the pop server. If you want incoming mail to go to the 3b2s, I would set up a mailer table that looks something like: 3b2.some.dom uucp:3b2name Incoming would go to the 3b2 at the next poll and would be delivered to the user as local mail. Sendmail will hand the mail off to uucp which will spool it for the next poll. The pop server isn't involved. If you want users on the 3b2 to read mail stored on the fbsd box, or a dial in user on the fbsd box to read mail that has been transfered to the 3b2, I think you're out of luck. (Unless, of course, you want to get tcp/ip running.) -- Jay On Sat, 15 Mar 1997, Eddie White wrote: ->is it possible under fbsd to: -> ->(1) set a port/modem to accept old style unix protocol-g uucp mail; as would ->come from an AT&T SVR 3.1 3B2, and -> ->(2) transfer said mail back and forth in the fbsd pop-3 server. -> ->in other words, giving the 3B2 users access to pop-3 mail through a dail-up ->fbsd host. i don't have working tcp/ip on these 3B's. -> ->thanks, -> eddie ->
