Synopsis: syslogd(8) dies on startup State-Changed-From-To: open->closed State-Changed-By: edwin State-Changed-When: Wed Oct 1 02:54:23 UTC 2008 State-Changed-Why: This is not a bug report, this should start as a question, posted to questions@freebsd.org or stable@freebsd.org. You should include interesting information in your /etc/rc.conf, with regarding to syslogd and the interface statements. Also, does running the command "/etc/rc.d/syslogd start" after bootup result in a successful start of the syslogd? http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=127751
