Well, for most of us, the nonsense has never started. :) Are you sure
your sources are correct?  I have no problems with buildworld in
-stable and haven't for as long as I can remember.  I'm also building
on a wide variety of machines and if anybody would tend to see the
problem you're seeing manifest itself, it would be me.
