a. The delay, waiting for completion in polled mode, in 2.2 is 1000 * xs->
timeout, 200 times longer than in 3.0.
b. In 2.2, to activate runtime (not-boot!) commands timeout, you also need
the kernel option DPT_TRACK_CCB_STATES.
c. You can activate (in 2.2 only) debugging of all this mess, by turning
on kernel option DPT_DEBUG_POLLING.
These last two options were removed in 3.0 due to lack of interest (we had,
until last week) zero cases of invokation of this debugging code.
