https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=272902 --- Comment #7 from Graham Perrin <grahamperrin@gmail.com> --- Re: the Stack Exchange answer in comment 4 > Prefix it with "hash:" in the wpa_supplicant.conf file, i.e. > > password=hash:6602f435f01b9173889a8d3b9bdcfd0b After changing my /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf to use hash:⋯ instead of clear text, I lost the ability to connect to eduroam. Reverted to clear text. I assume that the change to hash:⋯ (alone) is insufficient for a working configuration. Discussions may be complicated and protracted, I'll continue elsewhere (keep noise in Bugzilla to a minimum) and return here if there's a conclusion. I have: - two threads in the wifi-hacking channel in FreeBSD Discord <https://discord.com/channels/727023752348434432/1324131132161134645> - threads in the email lists that were mentioned in comment 2, however that was no more than two lists (netiquette) and neither list was freebsd-wireless, so I might recommence in freebsd-wireless. (In reply to Mark Peek from comment #6) Thank you! Very useful, it should be added to FreeBSD Project documentation. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.home | help
