It is not normal, on my box linux netscape and BSD netscape (apparently) run at the same speed.. Perhaps you need more memory? You have to send much more information (at least the FreeBSD version, the application(s) that are slow, and some info of the box you are using), otherwise no one will know what to say.. Pedro.
