I am a bit puzzled. How can you configure ONE disk in RAID. AFAIK, any RAID
configuration needs a minimum of two disks.

I never mentionned anything about the size, I just said that
inherently, RAID 5 has slow transfer.

If you need faster transfer, you may think about a different RAID
architecture.
