 path for commands is in one of the config files.

 a equivalent PATH command from the shell (like LS, SU, et al) for
FreeBSD? I don't know, you could use an alias:

 
if you want to access commands in /usr/libs/examples/ 

 alias c/           /usr/libs/examples/

 right?
