Hi dear GNOME team,

I know that you like your desktop environment a lot and really I appreciate
that, but does it has to be, that you need (non-optional!) gnome libs for apps
as GIMP? What has GIMP to do with GNOME?

I wrote my own port for this, because I like small systems. I don't use GNOME
usually and I don't want it for GIMP, because GIMP just doesn't need it
essentially.

Perhaps you might check your ports and if some GNOME stuff is really necessary
for some of them..
