I am having a bad day trying to install mod_php4 from the ports (4.6-STABLE)
and wonder if anyone knows a solution to this.
I have Mysql-3.23.51 installed also from the ports. maybe something I can do?
Here is the error (I sent to dirk@FreeBSD.ORG - still no reply):

Please report the problem to dirk@FreeBSD.org [maintainer] and attach the
"/usr/ports/www/mod_php4/work/php-4.2.2/config.log" including the output
of the failure of your make command. Also, it might be a good idea to
provide an overview of all packages installed on your system (e.g. an `ls
/var/db/pkg`).
