I have telnet access to a freebsd server and was wondering if someone be so kind as to step me through the process of doing the following:

1. download the mysql source files to the server machine
2. unpack and build/install mysql
3. setup mysql on freebsd

Server is running freebsd v3.0 and there is no way I can upgrade to the newer version.

thanks for your time
Kyle B.
