https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D255323 Benedict Reuschling <bcr@FreeBSD.org> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|Open |Closed Resolution|--- |Not Accepted CC| |bcr@FreeBSD.org --- Comment #23 from Benedict Reuschling <bcr@FreeBSD.org> --- We won't be recommending other tools besides git at this point. It's the sa= me discussion for the jails chapter: there is a way described how to do it manually and then there are the jail managers developed by various people. Adding all (?) of them to the handbook just increases the maintenance burde= n. Instead, we describe one tool (in this case: git) in the process. There are others, but we can't list them all with their quirks, even if they might wo= rk. People are free to use their own way of doing things, but don't expect that= we will blow up the chapter to list all of the alternatives. That is beside the point and distracts the reader from actually getting the job that the chapt= er is about done. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
