I'm a relative newbie and I'm not sure this is the right place for this
question. I recently cvsupped and then recompiled my kernel which broke my
fetchmail. I recompiled from ports both fetchmail and sendmail. the relevant
message in the fetchmail log is:

fetchmail: 5.5.6 querying thecity.sfsu.edu (protocol POP3) at Tue Apr 10
00:57:19 2001
fetchmail: fetchmail: getaddrinfo(thecity.sfsu.edu.pop3)

i ran fetchmail with verbose logging and found this error message:

anyone know what is going on? is getaddrinfo() broken?
