Any ideas what could cause FreeBSD 4-stable to lock up hard? No
response either over the network or on the console (though I forgot
to try ctrl-alt-esc which sometimes worked when nothing else does,
ctrl-alt-del didn't work though). No clues in the logs either,

Just locked up hard. (The computer in question isn't mine, and I
was out, which is why it took me three hours to find it.) As the
screensaver on the console had kicked in I couldn't see if there were
any clues there either.
